CHISWICK PHYSIO’S JANE RODHAM HAS A SPECIAL INTEREST IN WOMEN’S HEALTH PHYSIOTHERAPY AND IS HERE TO OFFER ASSESSMENT & TREATMENT FOR A RANGE OF ISSUES, SUCH AS INCONTINENCE, PELVIC FLOOR DYSFUNCTION AND PROBLEMS ARISING FROM CHILDBIRTH AND PREGNANCY.
Jade is a registered physiotherapist who is passionate about empowering women to overcome their injuries and health conditions using her physiotherapy expertise to design an effective treatment plan. Shockingly, one in three women experience women’s health problems during their lifetime, but many are either too embarrassed to seek help or unaware that there are treatments available, and often tolerate these conditions for many years unnecessarily.

Women’s Health Assessment: What to Expect
If you’re getting ready for your first assessment at Chiswick Physio, you might be wondering what to expect from your time here and from your treatment. We’ve outlined the process all new Woman’s Health patients undergo when they arrive, to help you feel more prepared and relaxed about your visit to our clinic.
You will need to fill out a patient registration form upon arrival, so it’s a good idea to arrive a little bit early for your first appointment. We will take your details, medical insurance information, GP details, and ask for your consent to be treated at Chiswick Physio.
Your first session will include a one to one with Jade, so she can better understand your problem, the cause of pain and your medical history. An explanation of the bladder diary will be given, and you may need to bring this along to your second appointment.
You will then be assessed and your problem will be diagnosed. Depending on your condition, a digital examination of the pelvic floor may need to be undertaken by Jade. This is an internal examination to determine the control and strength of the pelvic floor muscles.
Jade will then discuss the results of her findings and implement a corrective treatment plan, which may involve home based exercises to put you onto the road to recovery.
We want your visit to Chiswick Physio to be smooth and relaxing, so your treatment is as effective as possible. We hope you will now feel prepared and ready to come and see us!
